So Fresh

As you know, we are having a little 'Style it Up' week over at Greatest View. Loads of inspiration and a fab Freebie too! I've used this month's February 15th sketch at Stuck?! for my layout

I've used the 'Fresh Style' badge set along with the co-ordinating tag set which you can download from the Greatest View site here!

I snipped off the top of the Pink Paislee tag and made a tab with some yellow Chevron ribbon. The 'beautiful' title was cut with my Silhouette

I've also used a little Imaginarium Designs birdie chippy which I misted with Jeni B Bleu Shimmerz Vibes & Gold Lame Color Shine

Products used: Crate DIY paper 'Artistry', Glitz Design Unchartered Waters 6x6, Pink Paislee Portfolio Ephemera, Ribbon, Pebbles mini pegs, Crate DIY shop stickers, Greatest View journaling tags & Fresh Style badge set, Stamp it stamp, ID bird chipboard shape, vellun, Color shine, Hambly washi, Prima resist mistable canvass tags

I want to make mention of this gorgeous feather tutorial I came across on Instagram the other day. Riikka is on the Paper Stories DT and she shows you how to make some amazing washi feathers on her blog

Till next time!

Krafting it up!

Hope you all had a lovely Valentines Day. I'm continuing the 'theme' of this month with a little something I put together for my first reveal at Kraft it Up!. There is still time to get your entries in... This month we are looking for creative uses with sticker embellishments. Raid your stash to see what you can have fun with!

This is definately one I've been looking forward to sharing - I just love the way it turned out! I've used Gold Lame Color Shine on the Imaginarium Designs flourish and Mint Green on the kraft and mistable chipboard sticker.

I printed these fabulous Jessica Sprague PL cards that I found on Pinterest, onto kraft, to tie the title in with the colour scheme. I was 'gifted' that Pink Paislee clear card - wish I had another pack, I just love them!

Products used: Kraft, Dear Lizzy Neapolitan stickers, Hambly washi, Mask (unknown), Color Shine, Pink Paislee Artisan chipboard arrow, Basic Grey Kissing booth chipboard elements and stickers, Pink Paislee Portfolio sentiment stickers, Kaisercraft Quote stickers, Stamp It stamp

See you soon!

Big Love

I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to Guest Design for the lovely Denise at Scrap Africa this month!! The post is up on the blog at the moment... There are loads of wonderfully talented ladies there too, who would love to hear from you, I'm sure...

The theme was to use hearts as your main accent - so much fun! I took this 'selfie' of my kids and I on a recent trip to Sea World. The colour from the enormous tank already gave the photo a great colour, which I just tweaked it a bit.

I wanted to do something a bit different, so I tried splitting the photo into three sections, tucking the pieces into some cuts I had made in the Studio Calico 'Hey Day' patterned paper. I've also tucked a couple Kaisercraft Wooden Heart flourishes into the slits in the paper.

My Cameo and I are such great mates... How gorgeous is this little playing card! You can grab it at the Silhouette store.

I've used another Kaisercraft 'Love' flourish and kept it 'natural', to tie-in with the woodgrain in the paper.

A little love letter to my children is tucked into an Amy Tangerine vellum envelope. The paperclip die-cuts are from the Silhouette store.

Products used: Studio Calico Hey Day pp, White acrylic paint, Amy Tangerine 'Ready Set Go' vellum envelopes, Silhouette Store die cuts, Kaisercraft Wooden flourishes and Cardstock Alphas, Elle's Studio tag, Photo corners, Dear Lizzy Neapolitan sticker

I also wanted to thank you all so much for your lovely comments - they really make my day!

Thanks for visiting!

Love Bites

I don't really fancy myself as a major romantic, and I have been known to throw a few jaded comments around regarding 'commercialism'... but for whatever reason, I'm feeling a bit loved up this morning!

I've done a few cute little bits, for the people I love most in my life, using some of the new Greatest View release.

A little ' individual' calender (to remind a certain someone exactly what day it was! lol)

And a glassine bag of sweet treats...

These little cards were up on the Sassy Scrappers blog recently using the Sn@p Life collection

It's not too late to prepare, for when Cupid's arrow strikes ;)

Undies

I've been wanting to use these pics for ages!! When I saw that you had to use a number in this month's Paper Stories sketch - I finally had a chance :)

Erin went through a mad phase, where she would put on a couple of Josh's underpants each day. Usually it was 2 or 3 at the most. On this occasion we were in hysterics to find she had 9 pairs on!! The girl is mad!

This layout also gave me a chance to try a couple of the new release Greatest View flair

I've used a couple very cool printables from Miss Tina which I found on Pinterest.

I've also used a couple of Imaginarium Designs number 9 chippies which I inked

This is the very cool sketch

Products used: Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Stickers, Heidi Swapp Colour Magic paper, Tattered Angels glimmer mist, Pink Paislee clear cards, SC Wood Veneer #232 & 200, Jo Sonjas Acrylic, Pink Paislee printable, Chevron ribbon & flair - Greatest View, Pink Paislee Portfolio 6x6, Basic Grey clear accent, Glitz Design Hello Friend peekaboos, Imaginarium Designs Chipboard number IDN0001& IDN0002, Glitz washi, Prima Washi, Kaisercraft Quote stickers, Studio Calico Scrap Pads & Miss Tina printables

Hello Monday! Where did my weekend go...?

Hopefully your little ones are settling into life at school. I have some tasty little goodies to share with you on this fine day, that will hopefully get you inspired to scrap those gorgeous 'back to school' shots!

I also have some more exciting news to share! As many of you know, I love the delicious treats that Gail creates at Greatest View. Well, to my delight, I have been asked to design alongside the amazing ladies she has on her team!! Yeehaa!

Now the latest release is totally swoon-worthy! Perfect for back to school, Project Life or just 'life' in general!

Thanks to the amazing response my little Aussie set received, I was encouraged to design some more PL cards (for personal use only please), perfect for back to school. They would go SO well with these flair!

1..2..3...

Hello my lovelies, as you can see I have been sporting a rather fetching new badge (grin). I didn't want to just throw a side comment in, and there's been so much going lately - but now is the perfect time for me to tell you all about the new challenge blog that I will be designing for.. 1-2-3... Challenge Blog!

On the first of each month a Challenge will be announced based on 3 criteria, a Word, a Colour and a Theme. Sounds fun, right?

There are going to be loads of exciting challenges, and some wonderful sponsors have come on board! The all-new Creative Team will be split into two, so you get stacks of inspiration over the course of the month!

The first challenge will go live on March 1st so please remember to check it out and play along. You can also like us on Facebook :)

Hope to see you all there!

An experiment...

Ok so I have been in fervent conversations about Project Life lately. For me, right now, I can't see myself tackling it successfully, but for you wonderful people out there, working so very diligently on them, I offer a small gift. Special thanks goes to the fabulous Emma Stafrace for showing me how to link the files for download!!

This little set is an experiment. I want (and plan) to make more of these little beauties, but it really depends on how they go down of course! I've started off with a few 'Aussie' themed Project Life cards for the recent Australia Day celebrations. If you haven't got around to doing your pages yet, these may come in handy...

If you would like this 'kraft' themed set, you can download it here

If you would prefer this toned down version, you can download it here

I'd love to know your thoughts... and if you actually make anything with them, I'd be totally chuffed to see how it turns out!

Thanks (as ever) for visiting!

Hello Delicious Monster!

... And hello February! A pinch and a punch...

I am super excited to finally share some of the DT work I have been up to for Sassy Scrappers!

This layout (my first 8.5x11!) is for the February sketch. Why don't you join us, it's a fab one!

This month I got to play with the very yummy Simple Stories Sn@p Life collection

Those hexagons in the sketch got me very excited, so I cut a few from a Crafter's Workshop Hexagon template

I wanted to add interest by using a variety of sizes and materials. The embroidery sewing was inspired by Melinda Spinks who always does the most amazing sewing on her creations!

Some Cameo cut text. I used 'Lobster' which is used in the Sn@p collection. Look at that cheeky face!! Erin had just turned one.

I popped my journaling onto this little pull out tag I hid behind the photo.

Products used: Simple Stories Sn@p paper #2812; #2807; #2806; #2808; Stickers #4018; Journaling #2804; fundamentals cardstock stickers #2802; Sn@p Alpha stickers;  Crafters Workshop Hexagon 6x6 template; bakers twine; Shimmerz paints Vibez Jeni B Bleu; Kaisercraft tiny alphas; Embroidery thread; heart pin; Silhouette Cameo

There is lots more exciting stuff happening and some delicious inspiration from the Sassy Team, so feel free to pop over and leave us a bit of love ;)

See you soon!
