Some goodies for the Daddy's

Hello again!

Yep, it seems it's an 'all-or-nothing' kinda week. I'm hoping to catch up with you this weekend. I've missed everyone!

I'm sharing some not-so-secret-anymore, Father's Day crafty bits,
on the Sassy Scrappers blog today.

Pop over to check out how I popped these babies together, along with lots of pics.

A warm welcome to some new followers too! So thrilled to have you here :)
Have a fabulous weekend!

Funtastic Glasses continued...

Hello again lovelies

How flippin' funny is this pic?! My dear fur 'nephews', are much-loved, much pampered pooches, full of personality. I was convinced this was a pic of the one, Hugo, debuting his sense of style! Turns out it's a rather famous pug called Norm! lol. (I fell for that one hook line and sinker!) Hope his mum doesn't mind me using this hilarious shot for the Jot Magazine colour challenge this month. Black is the new black daaaahling! The photo was taken by über talented Jeremy Veach. You can find him on Instagram #jermzlee.

I really had fun grabbing loads of black and white stuff out of my stash and seeing what could be used where. Base layer is a mix of silver and black embossing powder using a Crafter's Workshop Aztec template. I'm sure you've seen loads of these Greatest View arrow flair on my layouts. LOVE them!

I've given this 2Crafty chevron chippie a 'Microbead Makeover'. If you don't want any of the raw chipboard colour to show through, make sure you give it a slick of mist or paint beforehand.

This is the moodboard for August...

Thanks so much for stopping by. You can also find me on Facebook these days.

Till next time

The Story of Today

I don't write... I don't call.. I don't send flowers... I'm bad. But I'm working on it. Sheesh man, where does the time go??

So I'm on the Sassy Scrappers blog tonight (mixing things up! lol) and sharing this crazy-eyed layout using Carta Bella's 'Hello Again'.

You can check out how I did my cutie-patootie storybook on the blog here.

See you soon!

2Crafty & CSI

2Crafty are the main sponsors over at CSI this month and I (along with loads of other 2Crafty girls) got to try my hand at being a Guest Detective!

This is my take on the very cool Case File #85

As you can see, I have used all the colours in the palette and some gorgeous 2Crafty chippies to help me tell the story of the day that I found these shells on the beach.

We were having dinner one evening, and I found these two shells, each with a heart shape. It was as if someone was trying to send me a message and I chose to feel loved at that moment.

I've hung on them and they've come in handy for this layout. I've gone ahead and adhered them (along with sand!) to my page.

For my picture, I've chosen to use a Polaroid Frame that I covered with washi tape. Once I was happy with it, I went over it with some Gesso using a dry brush.

I also find the Ribbon Ties so charming. This one has been primed with gesso, then given a spritz of Color Shine in Mustard & Georgia Peach. Once dry, I gave it a light coat of Glossy Accents, then sanded it a bit and finally a bit of rough gesso in places with a dry brush, to give it a weathered feel.

Here I've snipped a section of a Film Strip, misted with Color Shine in Bronzer and inked the edges to give further definition. I love love that 'Fresh Style' Greatest View flair too!

I've also used a Hello word bubble as a stencil for part of the title. It was super quick and fun. Simply hold your chippie over your page and apply texture paste in the negative space.

Hope you had a fantastic weekend!

Till next time!

Hello (again)

Hello hellooooooo!

Great to see some new followers... welcome!

Yes I've been naughty and neglected my bloggy over the week, choosing the 'quick and dirty' approach of social media while my son battled with "Mystery-Itis". Finally some answers last night at the hospital... naughty ears playing havoc again. This has been a crappy winter for him. Onwards and upwards into Summer 2013 I say!

Moving on, I shared some cards, using Carta Bella's 'Hello Again' on the Sassy Scrappers blog on Friday. In case you missed my Facebook post (want to follow me on Facebook? Here's the link www.facebook.com/TheAnticlockwiseFish) Pop over if you'd like to see some close ups and a few tips on how I put them together :)

This collection, along with loads of other new arrivals, is available in store now!

See you soon!

Three in a tub

Hello again!

I hope you are enjoying this fine Tuesday. The weather is Brissy has been amazing! Spring will be calling soon :)

I'd love to share this layout with you today that I have popped together for 123 Challenge blog this month. The theme for August is

This is my take

After too much drama and moving over the years,  I have precious few photos of my family or my childhood. I do, however, have one photo album that holds some gorgeous photo's of my mother and her siblings. Here she is with her sister and brother in an old tub!

I've scanned the original photo and printed it off, cutting the edges by hand, to recreate the original. I've added a lot of foam tape to get it to really pop out of the frame!

** OFP**

Yes, your eye are not deceiving you.... that is a doily. One one of my layouts... lol! I've given it a light spritz of Color Shine to jazz it up. I also love these gorgeous light bulb chippies from 2Crafty. I've kept this little guy plain.

So I'll let you in on a little secret. I love woodgrain paper. But I'm too stingy to use it. I just buy it to look at! I wanted to use some woodgrain for the title, so I Googled a picture of a wooden background. I printed it off onto some card stock and cut the title with my Silhouette. Ta da! To finish it off, I covered it with some Glossy Accents.

Materials used: Paper: Crate; Heidi Swapp; Simple Stories. Embellishments: Greatest View flair; Heidi Swapp banner; 2Crafty chippy; Crate stickers & Instaframes; Jillibean Soup journalling spot; Glitz & Hambly washi tape; Doilie; Color Shine; resin flower; rhinestone; Silhouette Cameo

Hopefully you can find the time to join us this month over at 123! You have until the 31st August to link up your entries.

Thanks for stopping in today. I'll be seeing you on Friday.
