'25 December Days' mini album tutorial on the Sassy Scrappers blog.

Olga and I have worked closely to put together a fabulous kit, jammed full of wonderful
goodies to help you complete this keepsake.
For more information, you can pop over to the shop. This album would make a fab project for yourself or a wonderful present for special crafty someone!

Cool Customers - 123 Challenge Blog November

Posting to my Facebook page can be a right pain in the bum sometimes!

Unable to link to the 123 Challenge blog (and giving up before I threw a tantrum) I'd like to share my DT example for this month's challenge

The prompts this month are: teal; 'cool' and stamping

There has been so much going on lately, I'm glad I didn't forget to post this as I've been looking forward to sharing it.

Title is a mix of silhouette cuts (glitter... love!) some cheeky stamps and alphas

I have inverted the colours of the photo I've used and repeated them multiple times with one black and white. They have been sewn down on top of a background of gesso and mixed stamping.
The last photo has been made into a pocket by not applying any adhesive to the top of it. It holds my journalling.

It's been a fun challenge, getting to use loads of stamps on one layout - I'm keen to try this a bit more!

*You have until 11.59pm 30th November to link your entries. I've said it before but please remember that your entries CAN NOT be used for any other Challenges, it must be created solely for this site and challenge...

Thank you for stopping by x

Today... Kraft it Up November

Hello hello!

Hopefully this post finds you very well and planning your next moves in the countdown to all things Hum-bugian! I will have a few exciting sneaks coming soon for a little project I have been working on, but tonight, I'd quickly like to share this layout I've done for Kraft it Up November challenge.

This month your challenge is to create a layout using Kraft Cardstock or Kraft Patterned Paper showcasing one of these trending products...

* Flair's
* Wood Veneer's
* Enamel Dot's

ALL things I LOVE to work with, but this time I have gone with wood veneer. I was feeling rather melancholy when I created this one. It was the 18th anniversary of my Mum's passing from breast cancer on the 23rd of October. Time might heal wounds, but those of you who have lost loved ones will know, it doesn't make it any easier.

This is a photo of my beautiful Mother sometime in her late teens or early twenties. It captures elements of her personality that I can only fully understand now, as an adult. Every event, every milestone, the funny things my kids say, I wish I could share them with her.

I have had this sunflower Bo Bunny paper sitting, waiting, to be used on a layout about her. They were her favourite flowers. For extra dimension, I have used a Silhouette cut on some wood grain paper along with the fussy cut flowers.

As always, there are lots of prizes up for grabs. You have until 11.59pm November 30 to link your entries. Please remember that your entry can only be used for Kraft it Up challenge. Every month so many gorgeous entries cannot be counted as they are used in multiple challenges.

Also, why not have a go at trying out for the Design Team call happening right now! I have so loved my time on the KIU and 123 teams. It will certainly be a sad goodbye at the end of Jan!

Thank you so much for stopping by

My Happy Place - OUAS November

Ok so I must be the worst blogger-friend in the world! Every day I say I'm going to find the time to get down to visiting and every day the hours just seem to disappear. Seriously, chuck eggs at me - I deserve it! ;)

Challenges abound with a new month sprouting it's lovely wings... Once Upon a Sketch have a great one for us

Journalling Theme: "My Happy Place"

There are few spots more brilliant that right between these two gorgeous kiddos of mine. My heart swells just looking at this photo! I've written them a little note which I've hidden inside a glassine bag. You can find them, along with this (perfectly coordinated) Greatest View 'Here and Now' flair in the GV store.

I've created a bit of a pattern using a 'happy' stamp from the Pink Paislee Color Wash collection. It's such a versatile set, I've only had it a couple of weeks and used it heaps already. It has some awesome faux brush strokes as well which are perfect if you want to create a mixed media effect without too much mess!

This layout uses a few bits that I had leftover from my Sassy Scrappers kit for September... My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste Adorbs. I hung on to this ever-so-cute cassette and I'm so chuffed I got to use it. I've popped a few of the new (very cool) Maggie Holmes 'Flea Market' ephemera on there as well for a bit of a feminine touch.

Remember:
You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long. Remember, hidden journalling (under a photo/tag or behind your page) is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post where your journalling is.

Looking forward to seeing your entries!
