What is 'Pretty'?

Approaching four, my DD is quite obsessed with Princesses and all things 'pretty'. She asks me if I can make her hair pretty, dress her in pretty clothes and asks how she can be prettier. I want her to understand that despite stereotypes (and I am guilty of trying to conform to these as well) no matter what she wears or how she looks, she is perfect in her own skin. A tough ask when all around we are bombarded with what 'ideal' is 'supposed' to be.

This layout on the Sassy Scrappers blog is about the little conversations we have had together on the topic. I've 'prettied' the title up ironically. The photo is of her first blow dry. Guilty as charged of telling her how beautiful she looked ;)

I love Brisbane mini album - Playscrap, Spain

Mini albums seem to be making themselves quite comfy on my creative list at the moment...
The more I do, the more I want to make!

A few months ago I was asked by the gorgeous and mega-talented Beatriz and Lorena
from Playscrap in Barcelona, if I would like to create an album based around my home town.
Of course, I jumped at the chance to put a few of my personal favourites down on paper!

The album was created using Glitz Design 'Finnley' which is such a gorgeous,
bright collection and suited my project perfectly. It's up on the blog today
with all the juicy details as well as an awesome monthly challenge!

Hello hello!

In my sheer excitement (and last minute cleaning madness) I forgot to post this little mini! My sister has arrived to stay with me for a holiday which is wonderful as I haven't seen her in 6 years! We are enjoying our time together and I'm proudly showing off my beautiful city to her!
