These last few weeks have been crazy! With the end of the year fast approaching, it seems my tiny little post-it note reminders are just not cutting the mustard anymore!
Today is especially exciting because I can finally reveal that I will be joining some fabulously talented designers on the Once Upon a Sketch DT! Yay! This is my first DT and I'm so honoured and thrilled to have been selected. Really looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with!
Here's a little sneaky peek of my first sketch for the team which will be revealed tomorrow on the blog... Very exciting!
Thanks for dropping by!

Lickety Split
With my recent telecomms dramas I needed a little sweetness in my life...
My mouse LOVES ice cream! Quite often it goes to waste (or Mum, lol) but the moment her eyes see the cone she just lights up.
I was trimming the little polaroids out and looked down to see them lying in a very pleasing pile! I pretty much glued them straight where they fell.
I came to own that precious American Crafts ice cream cone a while ago and have been dying to use it ever since!
I'm quite in love with my new 'Hello Friend' peek-a-boos from Glitz and some rather delicious Pink Paisley 'Portfolio' ephemera
A little snip of journaling can be removed from it's cutaway hideout
Thanks so much for visiting!

Say what?!
Someone has flipped the speech switch on my little mouse! She just jabbers away all day to the extent that I struggle to remember how relatively quiet life was before she could talk! Lol
I take loads of videos of her chatting away but I really wanted to capture the magic on paper! I hunted high and low for a voice recorder (one guy even told me to go to a spy shop in the city!) to eventually find one locally. It only goes for a couple of seconds, but to me, those few moments are gold. Her little voice has never sounded sweeter!
I've kept the design very simple as the speech bubbles are the 'stars' of the show I guess. I made her face into a little bobblehead that hides the recording surprise underneath.
I created some customised some speech bubbles to each hold a little phrase and then printed onto cardstock
As ever, thanks for visiting!
Here fishy fishy...
A couple of months ago I finally relented to my poor son's endless request for a pet. Well kind of! I agreed to a fish - easy for him to take care of (and no picking up poop in the yard for me!)
The colour palette of these shots happened to match rather nicely with this month's challenge over at Scrap the Boys.
Here is my take
I hand cut the little fish shapes out and popped the image behind for a bit of depth

Slurpee Tongue
This layout for November, over at Once Upon a Sketch, was so fun and spontaneous!
On a hot day, we love a cheeky slurpee to cool off. We always check out each other's tongues to see who has the most colourful one!
I've used a Hero Arts chevron stamp with some yellow acrylic for a bit of texture
I've tucked a bit of journaling behind the photo on a pull out tag attached to some twine

Happy Haunting!
Ok so this is the first Heidi Swapp memory file I have ever played with and I think I may have gotten slightly carried away! But HOW much fun was it!!
I sometimes wonder if I have a scrapping 'style'... I guess I just want to have a bit of fun and maybe bend the 'rules' along the way ;)
Take a look at this one.... if you dare! Haha!
Open the rusty gates to the Haunted Mansion....
Hope you all had as much fun on Halloween as we did!

Open the rusty gates to the Haunted Mansion....
Inside you'll find all sorts of spooky delights! I've used lots from the October Afternoon Witch Hazel collection, one or 2 from Midway, along with a few bits from Pebbles' Tricks & Treats collection and (as ever) those gorgeous flairs from Greatest View
A little mini album hides some extra pics
Hope you all had as much fun on Halloween as we did!

All about me
I feel like an awful Mum in that most of my scrapping involves my daughter. (I guess an excuse I could use it that I didn't know about Scrapbooking when Josh was little! lol)
Each little envelope contains some journalling, so I don't forget what a busy-body she was at this age!
Erin was fast approaching 2 and I wanted to document all of the crazy stuff she was up to. This layout was inspired by Jill Sprott. (I'm a big fan) It gave me a chance to document lots of ideas under one 'theme'. It's busy and colourful, just like my crazy little chicken!

Oh what fun!
Here's a little fun one I've been meaning to photograph for a while and kept forgetting.
It was the first time we'd taken the kids to a Fun Fair. It was a spur of the moment thing that turned into a real highlight (especially for my son!) There was so much to see and do and I tried to bring that feeling of excitement across in this layout.
There is some journaling hidden behind the quad bike picture. I've kept the flap closed with the use of a magnet inserted behind the paper on each side.
