Love it or loathe it, at Christmas time, I HAVE to eat trifle! It's always been a tradition in my house to have it and I hope one day, my kids will feel the same way about it.
This month's challenge at Kraft it Up is to scrap about the things we want for Christmas. Well all I want to eat on Christmas day is this delectable dessert!
How awesome are these 'Ready Set Go' alpha stickers by Amy Tangerine
And now, in the words of Chandler from Friends, I'm off to "shake my belly like a bowl full of jelly!"

Batman Smells....
I'll never forget the first time my son came home from kindy singing that song! I had never heard it before and absolutely cracked up laughing.
I'm having fun with challenges at the moment and the December one for Scrap the Boys is to create a layout using a Christmas themed photo and a non traditional colour theme. Well I've said before how rubbish my Christmas photos are, so I actually had to look pretty hard. But then I came across this little treasure and the title just jumped out at me!
It's a pretty simple layout but there were so many little processes that I had to go through, that it took forever! But.... I am so chuffed with the way it turned out and I will show you the little surprise that it holds in one of it's pockets...
I started with trimming a photo protector page into thirds. A while ago I read a great little post from Gail about using top stitch thread as it stands out a bit more on the page. I found a divine multi-coloured one and used it to stitch the yellow panel as well as sew the top pocket closed.
Trying to get the title to all fit together nicely was a bit fiddly. I set the type on my computer, then printed it onto the patterned paper. I then saved the 'template' as a pdf, imported it into Silhouette software (yes I snuck my machine back for this one - I'm BAAAAAAD I know!) and then lined up where I wanted the cut text to be and then positioned the printed sheet onto the cutting mat. The words Batman are actually on pop dots to give the title some extra dimension.
Have your little ones been naughty or nice?? lol
And now for the surprise...!
I love to try and have a bit of fun with my layouts and for this one I've created a mini Santa dress up Batman! Inside the envelope, I've hidden an insanely cute Santa get-up for Mr Wayne. (The cut file is available from the Silhouette online shop.)
I glued some magnets to the pieces and to the back of the my little figure.
VoilĂ ! The Crims will positively quake with festive fear!
Thank you all for visiting and for your comments over the last few months. I am having so much! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and happy holidays! xx

Stuck?! December
My photos at this time of the year are sadly, more often than not, very mediocre! I'm now on a mission to try and get some better snaps.... starting off with my little ones with their Santa hats. Well you can see how well that went below!
This is the December 1st Stuck sketch
I rotated it 180 degrees for my take.
The Pink Paislee mistable paper which I used with it's subtle detail, was so pretty, I chose to use it as is.
I've included a little Maya Road Vintage trinket in my cluster which I've had for ages but didn't quite know what to do with!
My journaling is on a little tag hidden under my title card. Having it there also adds an extra bit of interest to the title cut out.
Now it's off to get my Christmas light display fix!!

I shouldn't have but I did...
I couldn't resist. How could I NOT play with it for 2 whole weeks?! I have given it back to 'Santa' who has hidden it away from me! lol
But before he could, I managed to squeeze out a little something for my niece's birthday. The gorgeous silver ribbon is from the lovely Alicia at Scrapbook Fantasies and flair from Greatest View. Loving Crate's 'On Trend' paper collection!
Thanks for visiting!

Be Merry
Ok, so I need to make more cards! It's such a joy to give something thoughtful and unique to someone, but time (and children!) don't always allow. I am going to make it my mission over the holidays to do some more, but for now, here is a little Snowman waiting to bring you some festive cheer...
How cute is that little flair from Greatest View!
Fa la la la laaaaaaa!

Sweet Treats
How cute are these little goodie bags I made for my sons classmates!
They use one of 12 free Heidi Swapp printables which you can download here along with some delicious stripey bags from Greatest View. I popped some chocolate Santas inside for a sweet christmas treat.

I also tried my hand at doing something I saw on Pinterest for our Teacher Aide, but because of the size of the Gloria Jean's voucher it didn't turn out quite so neat, lol. It also uses a Heidi Swapp printable
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Let's Mash it Up!
Heidi Swapp is mashing it up with the help of a Mash-Up blog hop!
The aim of the game is taking elements from two or more collections and combining them to make something fabulous! She asked each of her media team members to name two Heidi Swapp products and compile a Mash-Up List. Then, each team member took the full list and used that (and more!) to create their first Mash-Up project! To see Kim's, click here
Here is the Mash-Up List:
At least 1 Day Glow Photo Corner
Sentiment Stickers
Color Magic Paper
Note Card (either Vintage Chic or Color Magic Notes)
Buzz Words
Color Magic Chipboard Alphas
At least 2 Pattern Papers from Different Heidi Swapp Collections
Neon Glow Tape
Staple
Handwriting - either your own or Heidi's digital words
I would love to be in with a chance to win a gorgeous Vintage Chic collection! This is my mashie.... what do ya think?
I used a combination of Sugar Chic and Vintage Chic papers. I printed Heidi's digital handwriting word 'Fun' in a combination of colours and opacitys onto some Vintage Chic paper and ran a few lines of black machine stitching over the top.
I also printed the digital words 'crazy' and 'sweet' onto this gorgeous Vintage Chic tag. I dyed some seam binding with Chalkboard Glimmer mist in Charcoal and tied the tag along with a Vintage Chic Color Magic tag (which I also misted with the Charcoal) The little bundle is accessorised with a neon pink pin!
We also had to use some resist paper, so I misted this hexagonal patterned one with some Glimmer Mist in Frozen Lake. I cut some of the hexagons out so they could show the paper below. Finished off with some of Heidi's amazing neon orange washi tape.
The title makes use of some Color Magic chipboard alphas (which I also misted with Charcoal). I wanted to mix it up a bit and thought I would play around with the staples which were on the mash up list. Here I've replaced the 'R' with some divine pink staples I found. You can also see my sneaky photo corner!
This is one crazy character!
If you want to play along too, take the Mash-Up list and let it help you create your next project! You can upload your project to Heidi Swapp's Facebook Fan Page with a link to your project online or Instagram it by adding @heidiswapp and the hash tag #HSMashUp ! Those that play along will be entered to win a fabulous Vintage Chic Collection! One random winner will be picked by Monday, December 3, 2012.
Hope you all enjoyed the weekend!

Bah Hum Bug
A pinch and punch for the first of the month! In my house, it's always a race to see who gets everyone first in the morning. Today my son was the first to dish them out! lol
This is my first layout as part of the Once Upon a Sketch DT. Whoohoo! The December sketch challenge has a Christmas theme and I chose to scrap about all the things I love about this jolly month.
Here is the sketch
I rotated it 90 degrees to the right
There are so many things to love about December, I wanted to use lots of photos! So, to keep the layout 'clean', I made a little booklet and attached it to the page. I've used a beautiful Dear Lizzy 'Fifth & Frolic' page as the background along with some festive chevron ribbon and that gorgeous flair from Greatest View
Both of my kids are crazy for Gingerbread. So much fun to make your own (even if it's slightly cheating if the mix comes out of a box! lol)
What do you say Santa? I've been good, Cameo pretty please?
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

I do lurve a bit of glitter... How delicious are these Pink Paislee alphas!
The first spread talks about our nightly ritual as a family - where we grab a little ice cream from McDonald's and drive around to hunt for the best christmas light display.
