Say it with a song

Hello and Happy Valentine's Day to those who marked the 14th on the calendar. It can be so easy to fob the day off, especially since it can feel so over-commercialised, but as the years (and decades) move on, I think it's even more important to show my DH how special he is to me. This year I've made him a 'mixed tape' as a throwback to the time when we first got together. It's got a whole bunch of songs that make me think of him, kicking off with the song we first danced to at our wedding. I've used some seriously cute We R Memory Keepers 'Crush'  Party favor bags and a few other bits from this gorgeous collection.

For the CD cover, I simply traced the disk size onto a bit of white adhesive vinyl. I've chosen vinyl over paper as it has less risk of peeling off over time.

I cut out the shape by hand (in hindsight I should've used my Silhouette to make a more accurate circle, but heyho!) I then went about stamping onto the vinyl with StazOn. It's slippery so be sure to keep that stamp nice and still.

Top decorate my gift bag, I've layered up some elements and created a bow with my 123 Punchboard. The little clothes peg is from the 'Oh Goodie' collection. SO cute - It's tough not to hoard them!

These Crush stickers add the perfect sentiment. The fringe tape is the quickest way to jazz up your projects. The adhesive is already in place, so all you have to do it peel and stick!

I hope he enjoyed his trip down memory lane on his way to work this morning!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
