Hopping and Popping over

Hello lovelies

Hope this post finds you well and happy!

I popped a layout up on the Sassy Scrappers blog yesterday. My last hurrah with My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste 'Adorbs'!

A gorgeous collection, full of pinks has never looked so manly ;)

If you have been playing along in our Blog Hop, these are the last few days to check out the
Sassy DT girl's blogs and be in the running for the prizes that we all have up for grabs
as well as the grand prize of a $50 store voucher! This is the link in case you missed it the first time round. Don't forget to leave a comment to let me know you are playing along!
Till next time!

Sweet Stack

So have any of you ever had pneumonia? I was finally diagnosed last Wednesday, after weeks of being really ill. I'm finally on the mend, but the going is slow. Too slow for an impatient person like myself. Ten days since my last blog post is totally unacceptable! lol

Thankfully, I had a layout ready to go for Sassy Scrappers on Friday. I'm loving the new Cut & Paste 'Adorbs' collection by My Mind's Eye. I didn't have the energy to post about it here, so if you fancy a little nose, this is the link.

Another layout I've been keen to share, is for this month's challenge at 123. You've still got a whole week to join us for some fun!

These are the challenge prompts for September

and this is my DT example

I've been sitting on a couple of very sweet Heidi Swapp mini fotostacks for a little while. This layout is all about Erin's first bath and this gorgeous Serendipity one came in handy for lots of precious photos.

To create the textured background, I have used a 6x6 Heidi Swapp doily template with some texture paste. It dried to a semi opaque finish which gave lovely definition without going overboard.

I must say, I did get a little lump in my throat looking at these pics. I don't remember her being so tiny.

I've just created a very simple cluster so the stack is not sitting alone in the middle of the page. A couple of Petaloo blooms and a 2Crafty Dandelion which I've primed and misted.

Entries close on the 30th September, and you can link your entry via the blog here

Thanks for popping in today

You go girl!

Hello lovelies

Hope you have had a fantabulous week so far and are looking forward to fun and frolics over the weekend!

It's my turn for fun on the Sassy Scrappers blog today. (Erin seems to be hogging the limelight lately! lol) She had just started to walk and I loved taking her down to Sandgate beach where the tide goes out for at least a kilometre. She could go wild and I wouldn't have to worry.

This pic is a bit rubbish (Santa please can I have a new camera, I've been a good girl!) You can pop over for some more close ups if you fancy.

Till next time!

Sunshine and Kraft

*Click here for Sassy Scrappers Blog Hop & Giveaway*

I'm back again (I did warn that September is a busy one! lol)

Popping in to share my DT layout for Kraft it Up! this month. Loving the sketch challenge we have going this month. Would love to see you play along!

I've kept the circular shapes quite minimal, pulling out a few here and there.
The 'sunshine' card is a very cool Chictags cutting file.

This Greatest View anchor badge goes perfectly with the nautical and circular theme in the sketch.

Materials used: Paper: Glitz; Crate; Kraft card stock. Embellishments: Greatest View flair; Crate 'The Pier' stickers; Elle's Studio cutout; Kaisercraft wooden flourish; sequins; gesso; twine; Silhouette Cameo

If you fancy, you can share your layouts on the KIU Facebook page as well

Please remember to have your entries linked no later than 11.59pm September 30th. Looking forward to seeing your entries!

See you soon

What a weekend! It's the most beautiful time of year around my part of the world. If only it could stay warm (and dry!) all summer. Not looking forward to the humidity that will surely hit our shores in the coming weeks.

I'm just popping in with a few shares from this week. It felt a bit manic!

This layout, using My Mind's Eye, Cut & Paste 'Adorbs' was on the Sassy Scrappers blog on Friday. For more closeups, you can pop over to the blog by clicking here

On Saturday it was my turn on the 2Crafty blog. I had loads of fun making these guys!

For more information on how I created these pieces using 2Crafty chippies, click here

Don't forget that the Sassy Scrapper Blog Hop is happening all month and each DT member has a little something to win if you play along, not forgetting the $50 voucher you could win overall! The link is at the top of the page.

Wishing you a pleasant rest of your Sunday.

Till next time

Lucky Sevens - OUAS September challenge

*Click here for Sassy Scrappers Blog Hop & Giveaway*

Hello hello - so much to share this month. September has only just begun and already I can see so far down the track!

Popping in again with a layout for Once Upon a Sketch's September challenge.

Another fabulous sketch to play along with this month and the Journalling Theme: "Lucky"

You are free to interpret our theme any way you like but please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes some journalling (hidden journalling is fine)

This is my take...

My little girl took her time in choosing us as her parents. Much loved, much wanted, she finally made her arrival in July of 2010. The number seven surrounds her, hence the title. I've hidden some personal journalling behind the main image.

Once again, a Greatest View flair adds the perfect sentiment.

To add a bit of extra texture and depth, I've hand-stitched along the printed banner on the paper. I've cut some little flags and raised them on foam dots and finally dangled a heart wood chip from the stitching.

Materials used: Glitz 'Sunshine in my Soul' paper & stickers; Basic Grey 'Clippings' journalling card; Greatest View flair; Freckled Fawn wood chips; Prima stamp; sequins; needle & thread

Hopefully you can find the time to join us.
Entries close midnight August 25th (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

Thank you for stopping by!
