So I was invited to join in on this fun Blog Hop with a Difference by Natalie Elphinstone - a name I am sure most of you are very familiar with! She continues to wow us with her creations on a daily basis, packing punches with pretty much every media there is to play with (and still find the time to help Mums bring their bubs in to the world!)
The hope is that the hop will continue to bounce its way around the blogosphere by answering a few questions and passing on the merriment to three more bloggers. Off we go....
1. What am I working on right now?
At the moment, I am actually quite busy with some 'real work' as my husband calls it! Since having Erin I have found it easier to work from home (I'm a Graphic Designer) Sometimes it gets a bit tricky trying to find the time to do all the things I love to do!
2. How long does
it take to create a project?
I'd probably say on average, about 2 or 3 hours, depending on whether I have a firm idea in my head or a particular picture I'm trying to find, in the gazillion I have all over the place!
3. What are my fave things I love to
create with at the moment?
Right now I am loving a bit of a title and tiny, pretty things. Being on the Jenni Bowlin Digital team has also ignited a bit of a passion for digi scrapping. It's always been something I steered away from, worrying it would feel a bit too close to work, but I am having so much fun gathering bits for my stash!
4. How does my creative process work?
I wait. Patiently... For my children to go to bed, then I run to my desk and do a happy dance! Ok seriously though, it's most often a photo that gets me excited and then I decide on the title I want to use. The rest of the layout comes together from there.
5. How do I become inspired and stay inspired?
I'm still a relative newbie to scrapping, so I am bedazzled by pretty much anything I have never seen before! What keeps me coming back for more, is that this craft is constantly evolving which is thrilling - one can never get bored of the same old same old. It inspires me to capture the moment, beautifully.
6. What is my signature
style?
I would love someone to describe it for me! It's hard to define and I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. I love having fun, trying new things and have a bit of a soft spot for interactive elements.
7. One random fact about me
I used to have a Russian Dwarf hamster as a pet. His name was Houdini because he was a master escape artist. One day he ran away and went to live behind the plumping in the bathroom. I gave up trying to catch him.
And on that note, I am going to hand you over to three ladies who inspire and amaze!
Kim Jeffress - Glass Half Full
A power house scrapper, who got me started on this amazing journey - I will always be grateful to Kim for showing me the ropes. She continues to rock with Heidi Swapp as well as the Jot Magazine, Jillibean Soup and Scraptastic creative teams.
Leanne Allinson - Our Little Family
I have the priviledge of designing alongside Leanne at Sassy Scrappers where she blows me away with not only her amazing layouts but also knocks the ball out of the park when it comes to Project Life! Check her out on the Bella Blvd, Jillibean Soup and Scraptastic teams as well.
Lynnda Hosni - Arty Scrappy
Now Lynnda has a delicious new bub and may not have time to continue the hop straight away, but I want to point you in her direction as this lady continually inspires me. She's not afraid of colour and pattern and I find that very groovy baby, yeah!
Enjoy the hop and thanks so much for stopping by!
